Caring for and maintaining your piano
Piano, as with all string instruments, need to be tuned and maintained often in order to keep them functioning and sounding their best. Just as you routinely maintaining a car by changing its oil every 3,000 miles, it is suggested that you have your piano tuned and checked over by a professional twice a year. Regular tunings can also be the best defense against costly repairs down.
Along with maintaing your piano twice a year, the location in which the piano is placed can have a dramatic effect on its sound. It is recommended that the piano be place against an inside wall, in a steady temperature of around 68 degrees F. Also, avoid direct sunlight, air vents, and open windows.
